It has come to the time when Linda will return from her Maternity Leave. Linda’s return date will be the 1st August
2011 with my last day being the 5th August. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Linda a warm welcome back to the service and wish her a happy transition back into the work force. Over the past 10 months I have been lucky enough to be a part of all the accomplishments, challenges and changes that have occurred and believe that with all Keiraview's improvements and upgrades it has evolved into a beautifully aesthetic environment to be a part of. With this in mind I would like to say a massive THANK-YOU to all the families, children and staff for your support
during my time as director and for welcoming me into Keiraview's team with open arms.
I am sad that my time at Keiraview has come to an end and will truly miss all the children, families and staff and wish you all the very best with your future endeavours'.

Keiraview is dedicated to taking action for Climate Change. Our long awaited landscaping project will commence on Friday 1st July. Daniel from Auscope Landscaping will be here to complete phase 2 of our garden project with the refurbishment of our bike track and the installation of our dry creek beds and garden beds.

We have continued to explore our interest in pregnancy, birth and babies through looking at the children’s baby scans. We have been sharing our birth measurements and comparing our present height and weight with our birth height and weight.

As we begin our settle into the school readiness program. One of the key topics is children’s cutting skills. Cutting allows a child to build up tiny muscles in the palm of their hand. Building these muscles not only assists with cutting but also writing tasks or holding onto any-thing with a grip.
Over the next month we will be concentrating on the correct scissor grip so the children get ample opportunities to practice their developing skills.
Anita
We have been focusing on using our fine motor skills to practice the skill of cutting.
The Whale group have been learning to hold their scissors in the correct grip. This enables the children control so they can open and close the blades to cut a line on their paper.
Practicing this skill will assist the children with their confidence and abilities to attend more complex cutting skills.

As my wedding day gets closer, the Aqua children and I have been exploring the concept of my wedding. We have been looking at bridal magazines together ex-ploring wedding themes and pictures.
Through these discussions I have been able to prepare the children for my time away from Keiraview while I get married and embark on my honeymoon. I will miss all my little friends but will be back before you know it.
Amy
The children in the Stella group have been focusing on their self-help skills. We have been practicing hard to feed ourselves during meal times.
The older children are developing the skill to be able to hold their own spoons during meal times, with the younger children feeding themselves with finger food.
