Smith St Children’s Centre received a highly commended award in the CCSA 2011 Award for Excellence

The award was to celebrate Smith Street‘s ―Little Green Steps program. This program saw Smith Street acknowledged as the best practice in the early childhood sector for encouraging children to show respect for the natural environment. An article with full details on the award and program can be found in the most recent edition of the Early Years Magazine. Kathryn Barker (IACC) conveyed her congratulations "To receive a highly commended award for excellence by CCSA is a real achievement and it is a wonderful recognition for the children, staff, families and members of the community that were involved in the project”. Thank you to all of those who have helped and are still helping, to keep our garden beautiful.
