Hospital Hill News

Our Team

Hospital Hill Preschool and Occasional Care Centre consists of professional and experienced educators.

The team consists of trained educators and an administration oversees the financial undertakings of the centre.
We believe in high quality care and the relationship we form with the child and the family.  We value play as being important for children.

“When children play they are showing what they have learned and what they are trying to understand”.  This is why play is one of the foundations of The Early Years Learning Framework.

By working together parents and educators can enhance a child’s learning and wellbeing.  When children form secure and trusting relationships they feel more confident and able to explore and learn.

Learning Environment

The program undertaken at the centre is influenced by The Emergent Curriculum, The Anti-bias Curriculum and is currently incorporating aspects of The Early Years Learning Framework.

The team works in partnership with the families to develop learning programs responsive to children’s ideas, interests, strengths and abilities, and recognises that children learn through their play (EYLF).

The program and daily routine are flexible and recognise the changing needs of the day and the spontaneous visitors or events that may occur during the day. The environment is set up to represent a homelike atmosphere with the natural elements and fragrant aromas throughout the centre.

We believe that the children are capable and constructors of their own knowledge and the educators are facilitators to each child’s learning and journey through early childhood.
