Alunga prides itself on having strong relationships with the children and their families. Each day the staff take the time to provide information about the learning environment and your child’s day. This is particularly evident in the use of the visual diary, a brief snippet of what the children have been doing, the learning that has occurred and where the staff plan to go next. Please take the time to read this with your child.
Many of the policies have been reviewed in line with changes to the recommendations from authorities as these policies are finalised staff will let you know of any changes, for those policies with multiple changes copies will be provided for your information. Please help in writing these policies by adding your comments to the review page. (outside the early learning room)
Located at the entrance to the centre is a community billboard. As a community service we often receive invitations to participate in various community events or to give families information about upcoming parenting courses or child information sessions. This board is updated as we receive the information so keep an eye out for changes .
The centre itself also has an array of resources for the families to borrow these include library books to read at home with the children, DVD’s including toddler taming, allergies, general parenting advice, information and fact sheets on child health, and many other resources.
